Pierre-Richard Dahoo

DAHOO, Pierre Richard Lindsay: Full Professor of Physics since 2001 at University of Versailles St Quentin (UVSQ) at the Faculty of Sciences and since 2011 in Department of Mechatronics of Engineering School ISTY of UVSQ. Holder of  UPMC Sorbonne-Paris University PhD degree and Expert in Modelling and Simulation in Infrared and Visible Spectroscopy.

Formerly, Lecturer, first at Pierre and Marie Curie University in Paris (UPMC) Paris-Sorbonne University since 1985, then at Versailles Scientific Center of UPMC Sorbonne-Paris University (1987) and at UVSQ Faculty of Sciences in Versailles since 1997.

Has held different managerial positions at UVSQ: Head of Physics and Applied Physics Bachelor Degree Department (1998-2000); Head of Physics and Applications UVSQ Master Degree Department (2004-2010), Coordinator of UVSQ Professional and Industrial MASTER Degree in Materials Technology and Components (MATEC) (2004-2010). ViceDirector of Science Faculty (2000-2001), Head of Department of Physics, Mechanics and Universe Sciences (2003 – 2007). Member of Scientific Committee  of UVSQ (2004-2008) and of Studies and Welfare of Students Committee (CEVU ) of UVSQ (2008-2012), Vice Manager of Mechatronics Scientific Committee of MOVEO Cluster, In charge at UVSQ of Relationship with automotive MOV’EO French Cluster (2006-2012) and  Vice President of Industrial Partnership (2008-2012). Vice Director of Engineering School ISTY of UVSQ (www.isty.uvsq.fr) (2014-2016) and Vice Manager of Materials Simulation and Engineering Chair (www.mse-chair.org) (2012-2017). At present Director of Institute of Technology of Mantes en Yvelines (2016- )

Other responsibilities as:  Member of French National University Counsel (Expertise in Physics of Dilute Medium and Optics CNU 30- (1998-2001 ; 2007-2011, ), Membre of French National Commission of Assistants (2004-2007), Vice president of Establishment Specialist Committee of UVSQ (Fundamental Physics), Member of Scientific committee of Plasma-Atmospheric- Molecules and Optics division of French Scientific Society of Physics (SFP 2007-2012)).

Research work in absorption spectroscopy of molecules of atmospheric interest (CO2, O3 N2O) by frequency and time resolved infrared spectroscopy, Phase Transitions by Ellipsometry and Physics of failure in functional materials and Mechatronic Systems. Expertise in Modeling and Simulation and Analysis of Experimental Data. Worked in different French  CNRS laboratories at UPMC-Sorbonne Paris University (Laboratory of Molecular Spectronomy, Laboratory of Atmospheric Physics and Applications), and at UVSQ (Laboratory of Magnetism and Optics of Versailles).
